Danish medtech company will launch blood clot alarm system in 2013
The company Acarix, in which Coloplast owns a large amount of shares, is aiming to launch a product next year that can “hear impending blood clots”.
The small Danish company Acarix A/S, which develops the blood clot alarm system, is aiming to launch its product as early as 2013. The company, which came about as a result of a collaboration between Coloplast and University of Aalborg, has just completed a study at Aarhus University Hospital, Skejby, and is now gearing up for a larger clinical study, the company COO, Claus Christensen, told Medwatch.
