The Øresund Region should be Scandinavia’s Boston

With a new strategy for growth and development (ReVUS), the Capital Region of Denmark has laid out highly ambitious plans for the life science industry in the entire Øresund Region. Copenhagen, Zealand, and the Swedish region Scania, collectively known as Greater Copenhagen, will be branded as the Copenhagen Science Region – a Scandinavian version of the biotech hub in Boston, Massachusetts. In time, Greater Copenhagen should figure among the five most preferred places in the world for development of healthcare and welfare technology solutions, says Head of the regional council, Sophie Hæstorp Andersen from the Social Democratic Party.
