Coloplast sets aside an additional 3 billion for US mesh trials
Expenses for court trials in the US concerning Coloplast’s faulty transvaginal mesh products will be far greater than initially expected, the company now says. The added costs will affect its full-year earnings.

Coloplast has set aside an additional DKK 3 billion for court cases in the US. It means the Danish-based medtech group has now earmarked a total of DKK 4.5 billion to cover expenses and possible settlement payments in a range of US trials related to the use of the company’s transvaginal mesh products to treat prolapse and incontinence.
