BioPorto’s NGAL cut-off patent has been deemed invalid by an EU patent court. According to CEO Peter Mørck Eriksen, the ruling is disappointing and sad, but not crucial to BioPorto.
Yesterday, the Danish diagnostics company BioPorto saw its important NGAL cut-off patent rejected by the European Patent Office (EPO). The patent trial has for years been seen as pivotal to the company and it is a naturally disappointed chief executive Medwatch catches on the phone immediately following the announcement.
