Lundbeck closing in on schizophrenia mystery

Certain variations in the human gene pool, the so-called copy-number variants, have a direct effect on the brain. A research collaboration with participation from scientists from Danish pharma group Lundbeck has shown that these genetic variations are associated with impaired intellectual and cognitive function. The results of the study have been published in the renowned scientific journal Nature.
