Lundbeck closing in on schizophrenia mystery
New data suggest that a number of genetic variations can harm the brain and impair the intellectual and cognitive function of people carrying them. Lundbeck was part of the research collaboration behind the new findings.

Certain variations in the human gene pool, the so-called copy-number variants, have a direct effect on the brain. A research collaboration with participation from scientists from Danish pharma group Lundbeck has shown that these genetic variations are associated with impaired intellectual and cognitive function. The results of the study have been published in the renowned scientific journal Nature.
