Zealand initiates own phase II study
For the first time ever, Danish company Zealand Pharma is bringing a drug into phase II development on its own. The first patient has received treatment with the company’s heart drug danegaptid.

Zealand Pharma has - as planned - initiated a phase II study on its own for the first time ever. The company announces that the first patient has received treatment in a new phase II clinical proof-of-concept study with the drug danegaptid. The study is expected to include 600 patients suffering from acute myocardial infarction.
