Genmab to expand Arzerra

New positive data from a phase III study with the Genmab drug, Arzerra, against leukaemia will pave the way for new treatment options for the drug, which is already generating millions in royalties for the Danish company.

Danish Genmab and its British partner GlaxoSmithKline has announced positive top-line results from a phase III study with the Drug Arzerra.

“GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) plc and Genmab A/S (OMX: GEN) announced today that their Phase III study of ARZERRA® (ofatumumab) in combination with chlorambucil versus chlorambucil alone in patients with previously untreated chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) met its primary endpoint of progression free survival (PFS) as assessed by an independent review committee (IRC),” the companies write in a statement Wednesday.
