Danish medtech company collaborating with drug giants

A Danish medtech company has signed two different collaboration deals with us pharmaceutical giants Pfizer and Eli Lilly, as part of their search for precision medicines.

The Danish medtech company Dako has just struck a new deal with Pfizer concerning so-called companion diagnostics. The deal follows a similar deal between Dako and Eli Lilly which was agreed last week.

Companion diagnostics are seen as the cornerstones of precision medicine. They provide a way to improve patient care and reduce health-care costs by matching specific therapies to the individuals most likely to benefit from them, since all patients do not respond in the same way, the company informs.
