Every year the Danish medtech industry exports products for a total of 18 billion kroner (3 billion USD). But that number could be even greater if more companies used the opportunities provided by EKF, says the public guarantor, which only collaborates with a limited number of medtech companies at the moment, but is looking for outfits in need of credit assistance for an export adventure.
“The reality is, that Danish medtech companies haven’t been using EKF’s products because there has been an industry with a certain level of financial abundance. But it is an industry that we want to focus on to a larger extent. It’s our hypothesis that as public and private buyers abroad become strapped for cash, they will look towards financing-options that could ultimately benefit us,” says Søren Møller, VP of EKF.
