Abundance in Danish research brings limited growth
Denmark is among the leading OECD countries when it comes to spending money on research, but falling behind when it comes to the number of growth companies. The industry is highly critical of the distribution of research funds.
Denmark loves to spend money on research. According to The Global Competitiveness Report 2011-2012 from The World Economic Forum Denmark comes in at 5th place for R&D funding. Only Finland, South Korea, The US and Portugal post a higher share of GNP into R&D.
