
Denmark loves to spend money on research. According to The Global Competitiveness Report 2011-2012 from The World Economic Forum Denmark comes in at 5th place for R&D funding. Only Finland, South Korea, The US and Portugal post a higher share of GNP into R&D.
But according to Danish business daily Børsen, the report also shows that all this research does not result in a whole lot of growth. Denmark is trailing when it comes to the number of growth companies being created.
