New data indicates greater risk willingness among the major pharmaceutical companies when it comes to acquisitions. An analyst points to four significant factors.

Pharmaceutical companies are willing to run greater risks when acquiring other companies, according to new data from Evaluate Pharma.

Pharmaceutical companies are generally speaking willing to pay more for companies with a smaller turnover. The turnover multiple has gone up from 1 in 2008 to 6.3 in the first six months of 2012, however, that is still far from the pre-crisis number of 14.7.
