
A research collaboration between the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at University of Copenhagen, the National Food Institute, and the Department of Systems Biology at Technical University of Denmark, could yield a possible replacement for antibiotics in the battle against resistant bacteria.
The new hope is the so-called antimicrobial peptides, which the National Food Institute’s Line Hein-Kristensen, among others, has worked on in her Ph. D. dissertation.
