Long term use of pain medication could have positive effects on the formation of a number of skin cancer types.

That’s the conclusion of a Danish study involving 3,242 melanoma patients, 13,316 patients with basal cell cancer and 1,974 patients with spinocellular carcinoma. The use of pain medication among these patients was compared with the use among 178,655 people without skin cancer.
