Swedish researchers have managed to convert stem cells into brain cells in a much faster and more effective way than previously. It lends hope to the possibility of using brain cells derived from stem cells in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease instead of medication.
In just ten days a stem cell can now become a brand new brain cell, reveals Danish periodical Ingeniøren. Behind the groundbreaking innovation is a group of researchers from the University of Lund.
