Novo Ventures launches a number of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment
During 2011 the invest company Novo Ventures was more active than ever, and since the company was founded and began making its first investments 11 years ago it has helped launch 13 new products. Through a number of exits the company has managed to meet its target of a 15-20 % return.
From the ”Novo family”, it is not just Novo Nordisk and Novozymes that have managed to achieve great commercial success on the global life science market – far from it. Since the company was founded in 2000, Novo Ventures has invested about DKK 4 billion in 75 different companies worldwide. Of these companies just about 40 belong to the company’s active portfolio, while approximately 35 have been sold off, gone public or have been liquidated.
