Dako is the only surviving brand among Agilent's acquisitions: "Too strong to close"

US-based Agilent has acquired companies all over the world, but Danish Dako is the only acquisition to retain its own brand name. Today, the company is a vital part of Agilent's activities in Denmark.

When Agilent Technologies, a spin-out from Hewlett Packard, went public in 1999, it carried out the largest IPO in history at that time.

The US company became a giant in the market for laboratory solutions and could easily afford to acquire Danish medtech firm Dako for approximately DKK 13 billion (USD 1.97 billion) back in 2012.
