Denmark changes supplier of childhood vaccines

Last summer, the Danish body for disease control and research, Statens Serum Institut (SSI), invited tenders for both a vaccine and the following booster vaccine for the childhood vaccination program. The future supplier as of 2019 has now been found.

The French drug group and vaccine manufacturer Sanofi trumped when Statens Serum Institut (SSI) invited tenders for a vaccine and a booster for the Danish childhood vaccination program.

From next year, SSI will then change supplier and according to the tender documents, Sanofi is to annually provide between 180,000 and 250,000 doses of the first vaccine and 50,000 to 65,000 doses of the booster vaccine that is given five years after the first vaccination.
