Serendex becomes US-owned

Danish biotech company Serendex said this week that it had been acquired by US-based Savara Pharmaceuticals. It marks the end of a prolonged period of financial instability for the company, which will remain in Hørsholm north of Copenhagen as a subsidiary of the American group.

It might be pushing it too far to say that Serendex has been saved by the bell as the biotech company has enough money to last the rest of the year, but as CEO Kim Arvid Nielsen has previously pointed out, it has been necessary for the company to find a long-term solution to its financial woes.
