Lundbeck stalls on important decision
Lundbeck has published fresh data on its candidate drug desmoteplase, which failed a phase III study during the summer. The company has yet to decide on whether or not to shelve the candidate - a decision that could ultimately cost it more than USD 50 million.

It remains unclear whether or not Lundbeck will continue development of candidate drug desmoteplase for the treatment of patients with acute ischemic stroke. On June 27th this year, the company announced the drug had failed to live up to the primary end point in phase III study, DIAS-3.
