Empty coffers: CEO's savings to keep rehab project alive

The European VAPA project is working to develop a virtual treatment option for patients with pulmonary or cardiovascular diseases. The first clinical trials generated positive results, but from next month all financing will have been exhausted. The project leader is willing to use his own savings and aims to collaborate with hospitals.

By the end of February, the coffers are empty.

The outlook is bleak for the VAPA project that develops a virtual remote physiotherapy product. VAPA is a joint European project with firm roots in Denmark, where the companies Physio R&D and Cortrium conduct clinical trials at Aarhus University Hospital.
