Dane at the top of Hansa Medical: "It's much more fun to build something"

Tuesday last week, Søren Tulstrup accepted his fifth job as senior executive in the pharmaceutical industry, when he became CEO of Swedish Hansa Medical. "I like change and steep growth," explains the former army lieutenant who would like Hansa Medical to go in the same direction as Amgen and Shire.

Last week, Swedish biotech company Hansa Medical brought in a seasoned CEO to lead the company.

Danish Søren Tulstrup has previously served in several senior executive roles in companies such as Santaris, Swiss Vifor Pharma and US Merck & Co's divisions in Denmark and Ireland. Furthermore, the nearly 53 year-old, former First Lieutenant of the Danish Army was previously the Global Franchise Head of rare diseases at Shire.
