Denmark sees first IPO of a biotech firm since 2010

Orphazyme will launch an IPO on Nasdaq in Copanhagen as the first biotech company to list there since Zealand Pharma went public in 2010. The company announced its so-called Intention to Float its shares this week.

A public listing of a biotech company in Denmark is set to become a reality after a seven year-long drought. This became evident on Tuesday morning, when Orphazyme announced that it had initiated the process of becoming publically listed with a so-called Intention to Float to the stock market.

Back in August, Berlingske Business initially reported on the company’s plans for an IPO. Berlingske Business also said the firm would submit its Intention to Float to Nasdaq Copenhagen.
