Foreign capital fund buys Danish device maker

The Denmark-based manufacturer of monitoring equipment, Ellab, which has enjoyed rapid growth in recent years, has been sold to a European capital fund for an undisclosed sum. Anonymous surces have previously said the sale could fetch more than DKK 1 billion.

A sales process that has been ongoing since April has finally reached its conclusion for the Danish medtech company Ellab.

European capital group IK Investment Partners said Wednesday that it has bought Ellab thorugh its IK VIII Fund. The Danish company is a leading manufacturer of thermal validation solutions, primarily used for validation for food and pharmaceutical industries.
