Xellia Pharmaceuticals is busy developing its business. Not long ago, the drug company brought in Leo Pharma’s production chief and now the company has bought new production facilities in the US from Germany’s Fresenius Kabi, the company writes in a press release.

“This is a great opportunity for us to expand our manufacturing capabilities into the US which is a key market for us. We have great respect for Fresenius Kabi and its employees, and have been in partnership with the company for years as a preferred, trusted supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredients. I believe this acquisition will be a win-win situation, benefiting both companies and our customers,” says Carl-Åke Carlsson, CEO of Xellia, in the statement.
