Santaris expands Shire deal

The Danish biotech company has signed an expansion of its deal with Irish company, Shire. The Danish CEO calls it “a very important part of the business for Santaris.”

Four years after Santaris and Shire signed a partnership deal the two parties have decided to expand their collaboration.

“We have reached an agreement with Shire to extend the contract we signed in 2009. Aside from extending the contract, Shire will also be given access to additional targets that they can work with based on our LNA platform. The expansion also gives us some additional funds, however, I cannot go into specific details,” Santaris CEO, Henrik Stage, tells Medwatch and adds:
