Troels Johansen hopes to see some venture funding soon. He and his brother, Asger Johansen -  and their company BalancAir - are responsible for an invention that won an award at the life science-focused Venture Cup Startup Competition in June: a mask which is able to disrupt or even prevent epileptic seizures without the use of medication.

“We have spoken to different venture people. The challenge is that they keep saying: “we’ll have to wait and see”. That’s okay, but it means we are fighting hard to stay afloat”, PhD student Troels Johansen from the Department of Clinical Medicine at Aarhus University tells Medwatch.
