Every third company is brought down by supply-regulations

The municipal region of the country’s capital, Region Hovedstaden, discards just about one third of all applications from companies that want to get their hands on a supply-contract. Medico companies have to wave goodbye to major contracts due to stringent rules that have the complete opposite effect than was intended.

In most cases it is minor blunders that end up excluding companies from gaining one of the region’s supply-contracts. Perhaps the company has forgotten to enclose an instruction manual for a bi-product. Perhaps it has overlooked the requirement to include the accounts for the previous two years.

Region Hovedstaden had to disqualify 150 out of 512 received applications from hopeful companies in the first six months of 2011 because of minor errors and slip-ups, and many of these relate to medico companies.
