Fujifilm operations boss on billion-kroner boost: "We expect to fill the capacity as soon as we have it"

Orders are flooding in to Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies' factory in Hillerød, so the Japanese parent company has invested DKK 6 billion (USD 915 million) to expand the factory, says the head of operations.

There is one simple reason that Japanese drug manufacturer Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies announced a DKK 6 billion (USD 915 million) investment in its Hillerød factory on Tuesday: the demand is huge.

Ever since Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies bought the factory from Biogen last year and gave other pharmaceutical companies the opportunity to get their drugs produced in Hillerød, orders have flooded in.
