Leo Pharma Chairman on CEO replacement: "A mutual decision and a no brainer”

The decision for Gitte Aaby, CEO of 11 years, to leave Leo Pharma has been coming since before Chairman Olivier Bohuon joined the company last summer. He denies any implication that Aabo was fired, and has not had the final say in recruiting her replacement, a former colleague of his from life science giant Abbott.

In less than two months, Leo Pharma CEO Gitte Aabo leaves the Danish pharmaceutical group after 27 years’ employment, of which she has been in charge of the company for the past 11.

Chairman Olivier Bohuon stresses that all involved parties have agreed on this decision, denying any implication of management having forced Aabo to leave.
