Medtech CEO: Denmark will get new notified body in 2019

Chairman in Danish Medicoindustrien and CEO of Ambu, Lars Marcher, expects a new notified body in Denmark before the end of the year despite "bumps in the road". The managing director of Medicoindustrien is more skeptical.

In 2019, the Danish state will most likely establish a new notified body - the central regulatory agency for CE marking of diagnostic devices in EU.

This is according to Lars Marcher, chairman of the board in the Danish industry association for medtech companies, Medicoindustrien. His estimate is based on the dialog between the association and the Danish health authorities about the need for a Danish regulatory agency for CE marking.
