Biogen director on factory sale: Fujifilm comes with a different business model

After 18 years in Hillerød, Biogen has divested of its production facilities north of Copenhagen. The staff members keep their jobs under the new owner, Fujifilm, that will use the factory as external supplier.

Biogen's divestment of its production facilities in Hillerød north of Copenhagen may not result in lay-offs or radical changes. Nevertheless, the sale means new times ahead for the employees as the factory changes hands and profile after 18 years as part of the Biogen group.

Birgitte Thygesen, Director of Administration and Government Relations in Biogen Denmark, has been part of the factory since the beginning. In fact, she was the first to be employed when Biogen established the facilities in 2001.
