GN chairman: New CEO without industry experience a deliberate choice

The appointment of a CEO without experience in the hearing aid industry is a well-considered and deliberate decision, says chairman of the board in GN Hearing. Instead, the board assigned importance to insight in the US market.

This week, Danish hearing device group GN Hearing presented the company's new CEO, Jakob Gudbrand – an unknown quantity in the hearing aid industry.

Gudbrand has previously worked for Radiometer and Dionex in Denmark and latest, the US laboratory device giant Thermo Fisher Scientific. But manufacturing and sales of hearing devices and implants is an unexplored territory for the new GN CEO.
