Danish authority reinforces cyber security in the health services

Next month, the National eHealth Authority in Denmark will have an established cyber security unit. The Danish agency tightens the safety measures at the same time as US authorities also intensify the work to protect IT systems and medtech equipment in hospitals.

From November 1, a newly established department in the National eHealth Authority of Denmark will be ready for preventing cyber attacks on Danish hospitals and important medical devices.

This is according to Peter Munch Jensen, Head of Strategy and Analysis in the National eHealth Authority.
