New network to make Odense the hub for medical cannabis in Denmark

The Danish town Odense has attracted two of the world’s largest manufacturers of cannabis. Now, a new network of interested parties shall make the municipality a hotspot for medical cannabis. Mayor in Odense, Peter Rahbæk, hopes the initiative will create a new business cluster on level with the town's robot technology hub.

Denmark's third-biggest city Odense has high ambitions of becoming the ultimate center of the country's production of medical cannabis. To achieve this aim, interested parties have established a network with the specific goal of establishing the medicinal cannabis industry in Odense and environs and speed up the growth of medical cannabis.

"We have all the components for creating a very strong cluster out of this," says Mayor in Odense, Peter Rahbæk (The Social Democrats), to MedWatch.
