Novo Nordisk's new Chairman: "Lars leads the company and defines it to the outside"

There will not be any major changes at Novo Nordisk, following the pharmaceutical company's change of Chairman of the Board, says the new chairman, Norwegian Helge Lund. CEO Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen has already presented a new direction for the company, and the new chairman is confident of that plan.

Norwegian Helge Lund officially took over the position as Chaiman of the Board at Novo Nordisk Thursday last week. He took over from Swedish Göran Ando who has had the position for the past 13 years.

However, the change in the Board will not have a massive impact on the pharmaceutical company. CEO Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen decided the company's future direction roughly a year ago, and the new chairman supports that plan 100 percent.
