AJ Vaccines after tender defeat: ”Never nice to lose at home”

Last year, AJ Vaccines bought the Danish state’s vaccine production and took over the responsibility for delivering childhood vaccines. But although the company has now gotten the cold shoulder, it is not determining the business, says the responsible for the company’s vaccine supply.

In 2019, Denmark will change supplier of childhood vaccines. It was clear after French Sanofi recently beat AJ Vaccines in the Danish authorities’ tender for the childhood vaccination program.

This is despite the fact that AJ Vaccines took over Denmark’s vaccine production last year and, in that context, was granted the right to supply the state with the childhood vaccine against tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, polio, and Haemophilus influenzae B-infection up to and including 2019. The company hoped to extend the contract afterwards.
